Trend Alert - Houndstooth Fabric

I love the crisp look of houndstooth fabric and have used it recently on a number of pieces of refurbished upholstered furniture.  I was intrigued by its definition and history and this is what I found out:

One can easily tell houndstooth fabric by its distinctive broken checks and four pointed shapes. This fabric was traditionally woven of black and white wool in the lowlands of Scotland. And here is a great example of a houndstooth piece found on eBay or on Wydeven Design website link to site in one of this year's favorite colors - sea foam blue!
