Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Chairs Project - Another Completion

With vacations and everything (I am NOT complaining here), my Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (ASCP) (website) chair projects have been somewhat delayed. I am working on two new chairs right now but they are not yet in a "viewing" state.  In other words, I am not ready to show the dramatic "before and after" photos since I do not yet have a good plan for after and am still contemplating various options.

Here, however, are two great vintage chairs that I bought from a young lady who had given up on redoing them. They have good bones (hand-tied 8-way coil springs, etc) and are a nice compact size that makes them very flexible in furniture placement.  I purchased them from craigslist for $35 for the set - a very nice price!

The woodwork was refinished as part of a large group of chairs I did in the fall.  For this set, I wanted to create a neutral palette and had selected a nice taupe and cream woven check for the fabric - ASCP's old ochre was a perfect match.

I think these turned out quite nicely and am hoping they will find a great new home.  I can easily see them in a lakeside cottage or Manhattan apartment - these will fit in anywhere!
