A Visit to Scott's Antique Market

This is the second weekend of the month and, therefore, time for the monthly Scott's Antique Market in Atlanta - link to website - billed as the largest yard sale in the world!!  It has become a monthly event for my friend Bette and me and this was such a beautiful day to get out!

We spent all of our time at the North Building on this trip and enjoyed seeing the various vendors and their wares.   We even came close to buying a few things but held back.   Here are some of the more captivating and inspiring images!
This outside vendor had beautiful French style and finish pieces - love that Paris pillow~

Love this style chair - I've refurbished at least three sets myself - this fabric and color combination makes it so fresh and new!
I thought this was clever - a cane-back with "buttoned" upholstered insert on the front.  I will probably borrow this technique!
Love these fabrics and finishes!
Lots of vintage fabrics and interesting uses!

Clever back on chair!
I'd love to redo these!!
Inspirational - I have several striped silks that would do the trick!

Lovely setting - I really want a starburst mirror!

Now this is clever - this artist will "customize" a picture to include your pup or dog.
One of my favorite pieces of the day!  Love the finish and fabric!
I've had a chair similar to this - love this canary yellow color!
Wow - love the mirrors!

On the way back, we stopped at  several estate sales and I did end up buying a lovely French country chair and ottoman in almost pristine condition.  I plan to sell it "as is" and offer to reupholster.   It is so comfortable, I wish I had the space for it - but I say that about WAY too many pieces of furniture!

My purchase - French Chair and Ottoman
