Using Silks in Your Home

I LOVE silk fabrics of all types and there are many - link to types of silk fabrics.  Most decorators do not recommend using silks extensively in the home because they are difficult to work with and hard to maintain - link to caring for silks.   I have been unable to resist using some in my own home and have been pretty pleased with their longevity - I do not, however, have either small children around all the time (do have wonderful grandchildren) nor pets and my husband is pretty well trained.  In addition to furniture, I've used silks for duvet covers, window treatments (lined), and accent pillows.

Over the years, I have used either pure or partial silks on wonderful pieces.  I have none in my current inventory but had a vintage French style chair in the works.  Here are some of my favorites!
